Strategic Innovation Fund — Intelligence & Cyber Centre of Excellence

End-to-end program leadership for a CA$49M Government of Canada contribution agreement, establishing Vancouver as a national hub for cybersecurity, identity, and AI research.

Served as the primary day-to-day lead for a CA$49M, multi-year, federally funded strategic innovation program connecting Mastercard with government, academia, and industry partners. Managed the full lifecycle of the program — from technical commitment alignment through to financial reporting, claims processing, and partnership governance — without direct line authority over the contributing teams.

Platform Architecture & Product Delivery

Trust, Identity & Open Banking — Architecture and Customer Delivery

Designed and delivered scalable identity, fraud, and open banking solutions across regulated global markets — from API architecture through customer integration and go-live.

Led architecture and customer delivery across three high-impact product domains at the intersection of identity, fraud prevention, and regulated financial services.

Workplace Experience & Culture

Vancouver Technology Hub — From Acquisition to Integrated Culture

Transformed a newly acquired engineering office into a fully integrated, people-first technology hub — building culture, community, and workplace experience from the ground up.

What began as a 30-person acquisition team became a 400+ employee integrated technology hub at the heart of Mastercard's Canadian operations. Joined the Vancouver office shortly after the NuData Security acquisition and took on the Tech Hub Lead mandate — responsible for integrating a team with its own identity, history, and culture into the broader Mastercard ecosystem without losing what made it exceptional.

Across Mirani Designs and client engagements with web agencies and organizations spanning multiple industries including mining, government, retail, and professional services, I have led the full lifecycle of digital product development — from business requirements through design, architecture, build, and delivery.

Every initiative on this page shares a common thread. I lead with the user — whether that user is a customer, an employee, a government partner, or a developer integrating an API. I connect technical architecture to business outcomes, translating complexity into decisions that move things forward. And I operate effectively across organizational complexity — building trust and driving results without always having direct authority over the people and systems involved. That approach has been consistent across 25 years of building, leading, and delivering.
